Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 April 2026

This policy describes how Memora (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service. By using Memora, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. This is a general summary for transparency; you may want independent legal advice for your situation.

Who we are

Memora is a personal storytelling and memory product. The operator is the person or organization that runs your deployment (for example, the site owner if you use a self-hosted or branded instance). For the hosted product at memora.app or similar, contact details should be provided by that operator.

Information we collect

Account data: when you sign in (for example with Google or email), we receive identifiers such as your user ID and email, and profile details your provider shares. Content you create: story books, chapters, text, memories, photos, videos, voice recordings, favorites, and related metadata you add in the app. Technical data: standard server and security logs (such as IP address, device/browser type, and timestamps) may be processed by our hosting and database providers when you use the service.

How we use your information

We use your information to run the service: authenticate you, store and display your content, sync across devices, improve reliability and security, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal story content to third parties. Aggregated or de-identified statistics may be used to understand usage.

Where data is stored and security

Data is typically stored with our infrastructure providers (for example Supabase for database and file storage). They process data under their terms and security practices. We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Sharing

We share data only as needed to operate the service: with infrastructure and authentication providers under contract, when required by law, or to protect rights and safety. Features you use (such as inviting others to shared memories) mean you choose to make certain content visible to those people.

Retention and your choices

We keep your account and content while your account exists and as needed for backups or legal obligations. You may edit or delete much of your content in the app. You can request account deletion where supported; some records may be retained as required by law.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact the operator of the Memora instance you use (for example via the support email shown on the site).
